  At 39, I was 117kgs and after a check-up with my Cardiologist, I had to change my life to prevent taking medication for high blood pressure. Surviving 2 open heart surgeries to replace my Aortic Valve, the first at 21 and then at 33 years old, I know the true value of life and pain.
My wife booked us in with Hi-Reps for the 2 week free trial, I was not enthusiastic! After meeting Mark and attending the first 2 weeks I was hooked. I played AFL growing up, and I had forgotten how good it felt to exercise, increase my fitness and energy level.
12 months later, I am 35kgs lighter, have competed in the BRW Triathlon, Warrior Dash, The Dee Why to Manly Sun Run, Mother’s Day Classic, SMH Half Marathon and am registered to compete in the Sydney City to Surf in August.
I have also found a true passion for Fitness and want to help others, so am now studying at AIF to become a qualified and registered personal and group trainer.

  After breaking my tibia badly in 2009, the Orthopaedic Surgeon told me to prevent a full knee replacement, I had to keep my weight down and increase the strength in my legs.
I had never been an active sports person so taking the plunge to join up to an Outdoor Fitness Program was quite daunting, and running, well, yuck! Since joining Hi-Reps in July 2010 I have lost 20kgs, feel fantastic and have achieved things I never dreamed of!! My greatest sporting & personal accomplishments have been participating in the Warrior Dash, The Dee Why to Manly Sun Run and the Mother’s Day Classic, where I ran for my sister who has suffered and survived breast cancer twice.
Mark is such a personable, innovative and motivational person who makes an excellent trainer. Mark has the ability to ensure clients are working to their limits, both in a one on one session and in groups of as many as 40.   I joined Hi Reps only after I saw the positive impact it was having on my boyfriend's health, fitness and self-esteem. I never thought I would or could participate in outdoor exercise classes with a trainer. I had always found gyms intimidating and was concerned it would have a similar atmosphere; however Hi Reps is a completely different concept.
It is an encouraging and supportive environment which has enabled so many Hi Reps members to achieve success in fitness and other personal goals that they had previously thought impossible. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would voluntarily compete in a fun run or challenge myself to participate in an obstacle run that involved mud, cargo nets and fire!
Committing to Hi Reps has changed my life for the better. By incorporating the nutrition and fitness programs set by Mark, weight loss has been extremely effective. Together with my boyfriend, we have lost almost 60kg between us. By following the nutrition and fitness program, in 10 weeks I have lost 13kg. I have never had such dramatic success with any other weight loss program.

  I am self-motivated, but when it comes to fitness and getting off my butt not so much... I find Mark an absolutely amazing personal trainer. He is personable, motivating, constantly pushing without the horrible uncomfortableness. I would strongly recommend Mark to any of my friends, family or colleagues.   I joined Hi Reps Outdoor Fitness around July 2009 and have noticed a huge improvement in all aspects of my life. I hadn’t exercised for 6 years and didn’t realise how unfit I had become. Since going to Hi Reps every week I have noticed a huge improvement in my fitness and health, I have lost 6 kilos and toned parts of my body I didn’t know existed.   Over the last 10 years or so I have given away competitive sport and put on extra kilos. I then decided to diet and said to myself “Today I am going to change my life and lose weight and become fit”. Then a few years went by and I looked in the mirror and hadn’t done a thing. 9 weeks ago I was asked to attend a Hi Reps fitness class, so I did. I did things that I thought I couldn’t do.   I have always been fit and healthy but since having my two kids I had gradually put on weight. It was a slow process so I didn’t really notice and accepted that mums have bigger tummy’s etc. I was shocked when I went to the doctor and he said my BMI was in the overweight. Having always hated gyms and had memberships that I never used I reluctantly went to one of marks classes. I loved it. The people are so nice and welcoming and I have made many friends. Mark is fair but firm and always encouraging. Being a bit lazy by nature I need that someone to push me and make sure I’m there each week. I have gone from a size 14 to a 10 and lost 8kg.
