Plenty! These legumes provide incredible health benefits such as less bloating, lower bad cholesterol levels, protection for your bones and healthier blood pressure levels due to potassium. Although all beans are nutritious, black beans tend to carry more fibre magnesium, making it an excellent choice for a pre-workout meal.
Let’s get on to it. Here are the ingredients:
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 yellow onion
4 cloves garlic
230g turkey mince
3 425g black beans (cans)
30g can diced tomatoes with chilli
85g tomato paste (about 1/4 cup)
1Tbsp chilli powder
1/2tsp smoked paprika
1- Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Add the onion and garlic to a pot with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook over medium-low heat just until softened (2min)
2- Add the turkey mince to the pot. Sauté until the turkey is cooked through (5 min). Break the turkey up into small crumbles as it cooks.
3- Add the beans, the diced tomatoes (undrained), cumin, tomato sauce, chilli powder, smoked paprika, and oregano. Stir everything together.
4- Let the chilli simmer for 10min to let the flavours blend.
